Small Joys, Quiet Wins
Lately I’ve been noticing the things that don’t make headlines, but hold me together
Lately, I’ve been paying attention to the small things.
The way morning light spills across the kitchen table.
The first sip of coffee from my favorite mug.
The friend who texts just to say, thinking of you.
The walk around the block that clears my mind more than any meeting ever could.
The way my dog curls up next to me like I’m her whole world, no matter what kind of day it’s been.
These moments don’t announce themselves.
They don’t ask for applause.
But they carry us.
Not everything has to be big to matter.
Not every win comes with a trophy.
Sometimes, getting through the day with your head up is the win.
So today, I’m choosing to celebrate the quiet victories:
The held tongue.
The gentle tone.
The choice to rest instead of push.
The decision to stay kind, even when you’re tired.
The tail wag that reminds you, love doesn’t need a reason.
If the world feels heavy, you’re not alone.
But I promise there’s still light. Still sweetness. Still softness.
We just have to look closer.
Here’s to small joys and the quiet strength it takes to keep going.
You’re doing better than you think.
Ellie
Amen.
